Grüß euch…
... means hello in Austria! And that’s where I come from. My name is Hannes Plackner and I’m proud to be the first blogger here to introduce a new point of view—the ‘alien’ point of view. I am 25 years old and I grew up on the countryside in Salzburg not far where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born ;)
Wood Technology is my major in Vienna at the University for Applied Life Sciences and Natural Resources – the BOKU. And believe me—studying in Austria is different. I think Kellen (look at her blogs, too) will like it. But I will write about the differences later more detailed. Another blog I can recommend if you are interested how school in Austria works is Eric Jaeschke's—a forestry major who spent the spring semester at the BOKU. And if you are interested what a European thinks about the WVU stay tuned.
